The Institute’s history dates back to 1997, when the Moscow State Academy of Instrument Engineering and Informatics established the Faculty of Economics and the Faculty of Management and Law. After a number of transformations, the Institute of Economics and Law was formed, which is a structural subdivision of MIREA – Russian Technological University.
The Institute has always offered training in majors that are highly in demand and is using state-of-the-art educational technologies.
All our students speak foreign languages
Throughout their period of studies, the Institute’s students continue in-depth learning of a foreign language and its business aspects. Regular events are held in foreign languages, like “Talking Circle”, “Real Club Seminars”, “French Language Day”, “Holidays in foreign countries” (in English and German) and others. Students also learn and practice languages abroad under academic mobility programs. So far, China is the most distant and exotic country that our students have visited.
The Institute is a co-organizer of the All-Russian Legal Dictation
The Institute of Economics and Law participates in the organization of an annual educational campaign, Legal Dictation, intended to draw attention to legal literacy issues. The dictation is traditionally written by students of the Institute as well.
The Institute defines the future of professional and public accreditation
Representatives of the Institute of Economics and Law are active participants in the Council for Occupational Qualifications in Personnel Management. At this council, experts determine how accreditation processes will be organized in the Russian Federation and draft relevant documents.
The Institute is a partner of the Association of Lawyers of Russia (ALR)
ALR is an national nongovernment association of practicing lawyers, scholars, statesmen, public figures, business representatives and recent students of law. The Institute’s faculty and students participate in the association’s various events, master classes, and seminars to improve their professional skills.
