Innovation is a unique major that allows one to acquire the competences, skills and abilities of an engineer, manager and economist at the same time. Students are trained to manage innovative processes and projects, to develop business plans, to find investors, to bring new products to the market, and to deliver consulting support tailored to the specifics of an innovation.

Management of armament systems
This educational program is unique as it is not offered by any other university. It is adapted to the needs of specific employers, which guarantees employment upon graduation.

Training under the Management of Armament Systems program is conducted at the facilities of the 46th Central Research Institute, a federal state budgetary institution of the Russian Ministry of Defense, which provides access to specialized databases, software, military hardware and specimens relevant to the program. That enables students to participate in multi-parameter research to forecast the development of major sectors of science and technology in the interests of defense and state security. Students can also take part in the graduating department’s research and carry out graduation projects using the data, requirements and tasks of real-life enterprises.

Innovation today is the foundation of economic development and competitiveness. The Innovation program permits students to acquire the knowledge, skills and competences of an engineer, manager and economist at the same time.
Upon graduation, the students of the program become broad-minded professionals who are able to come up with an idea for an innovation project based on the latest developments; to determine the potential of an innovation project; to select the right technologies and implementation modes of a project/innovation; to commercialize project results; to find and assess possible funding sources; to develop an advertising campaign to promote a project, including its presentation; to assess a project’s or an innovation’s risks; to defend a project legally. Alumni who have majored in Innovation Management are employed as innovative development specialists by enterprises of various industries, as members of industrial development departments at government authorities, patent services, bureaus and agencies, or can create an independent startup.
