Although modern IITPA’s official institution date is considered to be 1998, its history goes back to 1947, when a Department of Economic Theory (formerly, the Department of Political Economy) was established. At present, that department successfully continues to function as part of the Institute. Thus, IITPA has a record of more than 70-year-long experience in training economists.
