Delegation of the Kingdom of Cambodia visits University

On Thursday, August 24, the delegation of the Kingdom of Cambodia visited Moscow Technological University. The delegation was headed by Tekret Samrah, State Secretary of the Office of the Council of Ministers, Deputy Chairman of the National Council for Sustainable Development.

The agenda of the meeting included issues of interaction between the youth of the two countries. In his welcoming address, Grigory Petushkov, Chairman of the National Council of Youth and Children's Associations of Russia, Director of the Institute for Youth Policy and International Relations of Moscow Technological University, stressed that the Kingdom of Cambodia is one of the key partners of the National Council in the Asian region. He spoke about the activities of the Association, noting the special role of international youth cooperation. "Despite the distance, we are connected by very close ties with your country. We hope that they will only strengthen and the fields of cooperation will expand!" said the Chairman of the National Council.

Tekret Samrakh thanked the Russian side for organizing the meeting. He noted that the delegation consists of young people representing both state bodies and business structures. "I sincerely hope that in future we will have even more joint initiatives and projects!" he stressed. Iang Sophallet, Deputy State Secretary, advised the youth of the two countries to cooperate and strive for experience exchange.

During the meeting, special attention was paid to the development of cooperation in the field of ecology as well as to the programs that promote the goals of sustainable development.

Also, we should note that on August 24, Sergey V. Lavrov, Russian Minister of Foreign Affairs, held talks with Prak Sokhon, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of Cambodia.
