Foreign students of University take part in Oriental Fair "Tyubeteika"

From January 15 to January 21, the students of the International Education Institute and teachers of the Russian Language Department (as a foreign language) of Moscow Technological University visited the "Tyubeteika" Oriental Fair, where they had an opportunity to get acquainted with the cultural and historical heritage of the CIS countries and Russia, to immerse themselves in the festive atmosphere of the oriental bazaar.
The visitors of the exhibition could enjoy the poetry of Omar Khayyam, folk music performed on national musical instruments, watch documentary and feature films, fashion show of the participating countries of the festival.
Those wishing to purchase souvenirs were offered a wide choice: decorations from Samarkand, enamels from Georgia, fabrics and clothes from Tashkent, ceramics from Dagestan, embroidery, daggers, oriental oils and much more.
Fans of oriental cuisine appreciated Uzbek pilaf and got to a master class on cooking soup mashhurda by Farukh Ulugzhanov, the cook who specially had flown from Tashkent to the opening of the exhibition.
The students of MIREA Rizvoniddin Bobokalonov and Dildora Rustamova from Uzbekistan worked as volunteers for the whole week: they informed the news of the exhibition program, helped to choose the brightest, interesting and informative events. Eastern hospitality, which reigned at the Fair, will be remembered for a long time by all the participants and guests of the event!
