Participation in meeting of Council of Youth Affairs of CIS States Participants

On April 12, a regular meeting of the Council of Youth Affairs of the States Participants of the Commonwealth of Independent States was held in Minsk. The event was attended by MIREA staff, representatives of the CIS Basic Organization for Youth Work: G.V. Petushkov, Director of the Institute for Youth Policy and International Relations of MIREA and D.A. Bunkin, Deputy Director of the Institute of Youth Policy and International Relations MIREA.

During the meeting there were discussed a number of topics related to the development of international relations in the CIS. One of the key issues was the implementation of the 2018-2020 Action Plan on the Strategy for International Youth Cooperation of the CIS States Participants for the period up to 2020 and work on the draft of the Strategy for 2021-2030.

Also, on April 12, the members of the Council of Youth Affairs of the States Participants considered the draft Regulation for the Forum of Youth Organizations of CIS Member States, developed by the staff of the Institute for Youth Policy and International Relations of MIREA.

In addition to the main agenda of the meeting, in order to establish partnership relations and develop long-term, effective and mutually beneficial cooperation between the parties in the field of youth policy, there were signed two MIREA agreements with international partner organizations of the CIS, namely the State Educational Institution "Republican Institute of Higher School" of the Republic of Belarus and the Public Association " Youth Development Institute" of the Kyrgyz Republic.

The "BelExpo" held an exhibition of the International Youth Project "100 Ideas for the CIS". The delegations of the CIS countries presented their best projects in accordance with the results of the National qualifying stage of the competition. The delegation from the Russian Federation was represented by 9 people from 6 regions (Vladimir, Kemerovo Region, Omsk, St. Petersburg, Saratov Region, Chelyabinsk Region), 8 projects in total.
