Scientific and practical conference at RTU MIREA discussed the issues of educational activities in the CIS

From September 27 to 29, the international scientific and practical conference of the CIS “The role of youth policy and educational activities in the formation of ideological and value meanings and guidelines in the modern young generation” is being held at RTU MIREA.

About 200 specialists from Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Kyrgyzstan, Russia and Uzbekistan participated in the event. They share the results of their scientific research on the value orientations of young people in the CIS member states, discuss current problems and effective methods of forming ideological and value meanings and guidelines in contemporary young generation.

At the opening of the conference, Olga Negrova, Deputy Director of the Department of State Youth Policy and Educational Activities of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation, emphasized that their department is actively involved in the implementation of youth policy in Russia.

The conference participants were welcomed by Grigory Petushkov, Vice-Rector for Youth Policy of RTU MIREA. He underlined that the general goals of youth policy in the CIS include three main positions:

• Achieving strategic goals of sustainable development and increasing the efficiency of using labor resources

• Education of young citizens in the spirit of patriotism, respect for the cultural and spiritual values of the fatherland

• Achieving awareness among young citizens of the fundamental and historical development of the state and modern guidelines of public policy

“The topic of the conference is very relevant. The way cooperation will be developing in the CIS largely depends on the young people and their waymarks in life. During the working sections, important issues of civic-patriotic education of youth, prevention of destructive social influence on youth on the Internet and the role of volunteer activity in the formation of value orientations of youth will be discussed,” announced Grigory Petushkov, Vice-Rector of RTU MIREA.

The event was organized by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation and MIREA - Russian Technological University, which performs the functions of the Basic Organization of the CIS Member States for working with youth.
