The Institute of International Education, RTU MIREA, is the initiator of events to promote the Russian language abroad

The Institute of International Education of RTU MIREA took part in the Week of the Russian Language and Culture of Speech organized for schoolchildren of the city of Khujand, Sughd region of the Republic of Tajikistan.

At the opening ceremony of the Week of the Russian Language and Culture of Speech, Nikita Valerievich Bykhovsky, the acting head of the Rossotrudnichestvo Representative Office in the city of Khujand addressed the participants with a welcoming speech and noted the importance of RTU MIREA participation in educational activities in the territory of the Republic of Tajikistan, in particular, in Sughd area. Sattarova Firuza Masudovna, representative of the Russian House in Khujand, coordinator of educational programs, said that this year schoolleavers in the Sughd region are showing great interest in RTU MIREA, due to the planned and systematic career guidance work based on the use of the Russian language.

The meetings were attended by Sanzherbek Murodov, graduate of the Khujand school, who is an active member of the Russian House in Tajikistan and now a student at RTU MIREA. He spoke about his studies and the unique opportunities that our University provides to students.

In the Russian House in Khujand, quiz on the history and culture of the Russian language prepared and conducted online by the staff of the Department of Russian (as a foreign language) of the Institute of International Education became a significant event. The schoolchildren answered various questions, reacted emotionally to the moments of fun during communication. The quiz was held in the spirit of cooperation, friendship and business communication. The winner was Shakhlokhon Shukhratovna Azizova, a student of the 11th grade of the Ganch gymnasium. The youngest participant Shamsieva Khadicha Abdujalilovna, a 6th grade student of the school for gifted students in the village of Histevarz, received the Audience Award. The winners were awarded certificates of honor and souvenirs from RTU MIREA.
