“Top IT” Students Shine at International RuCode Programming Championship

27.10.2025

Several student teams from RTU MIREA’s Institute of Advanced Technologies and Industrial Programming who are enrolled in the Full-Stack Development track of the “Top IT” training program took part in the international RuCode algorithmic programming championship.

Since 2025, RuCode has been held with support from Russia’s Ministry of Digital Development. This year’s qualifying round drew more than 9,000 participants from 50 countries. The final round ran simultaneously across 44 venues in Russia and five neighboring countries: Belarus, Armenia, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, and Turkmenistan.

The event has earned a spot in the Russian Book of Records as the largest programming competition ever held, with 1,885 participants forming 787 teams, all tackling algorithmic challenges over five intense hours.

One of RTU MIREA’s squads, “long long time”, took third-place honors in Division C–D. The team includes Makar Vashurkin (2nd year), Ivan Kuchin and Lev Demidovs (1st year, “Top IT” program for IT specialists).

Congratulations to the team on their impressive result, and best of luck in all future competitions!
