A graduate of the RTU MIREA Samsung IT School won the bronze medal at the IT School chooses the strongest – 2020 competition.

A graduate of the SAMSUNG IT School, operating on the basis of the Altair Children's Technopark RTU MIREA, Fyodor Sedov from School No. 1329 was among the finalists of the IT School Chooses the Strongest – 2020 All-Russian competition of projects and won the third place in the Social Application nomination "" with his WaveNote project. The application presented by the contestant allows to save musical notation, play music and opens up other possibilities for the use of musical utilities. The final stage of the competition was held online on July 15-16
Such format for the graduation projects competition allowed everyone to participate in the discussion of the works and projects of the contestants, and provide support to young developers by taking part in the voting procedure in the Users' Choice special category.

The competition was held in three rounds with three nominations: Social Applications, Games, Programming. 58 mobile applications of alumni from 23 Russian cities reached the second round of the competition. The jury, which included specialists from the Samsung Research Center and the best trainers of the SAMSUNG IT School program, selected 18 best projects from 13 cities for the final stage of the competition.

“I am very pleased that I was able to receive training at SAMSUNG IT School and present the results of my long-term work at the contest. I think that music is part and parcel of our life. Therefore, I really hope that my project will be of feasible social and practical value for musicians and people who are just getting started in this area. It was very interesting to receive online questions about my application from experts. This helped me to understand how to improve the presentation, and inspired several new ideas for the development of the application itself," said Fyodor Sedov

Earlier, two more representatives participated in the first round of the competition: Anastasia Tarazevich and Andrey Grechko presented their graduation projects at the SAMSUNG IT School site in the Altair Children's Technopark. Samsung Electronics project grades was launched for 9-10 grade students in 2014 and now operates in 40 regions of Russia. The course developed by the Russian Samsung Research Center helps students to master the fundamentals of IT and programming in a form adapted for schoolchildren, to gain practical skills in developing mobile applications for the industrial sector “from the very idea to distribution”.
In 2020, 630 high school students from 35 cities of Russia received SAMSUNG IT School certificates of graduates.

The students successfully passed the tests in 5 program modules and developed their individual project - a mobile application for the Android platform in Java script. Altair at RTU MIREA is the first and only children's technopark in Moscow with training organized on the basis of the SAMSUNG IT School program. In 2019, Altair became the largest platform in the capital implementing this program. The IT School Chooses the Strongest competition has been held since 2015 to encourage students to engage in project activities, identify the best projects completed in the learning process on the basis of the Samsung IT School program.
The Graduate certificate and diploma of the winner of the IT School chooses the strongest! competition helps students to score additional points for admission to 19 universities in Russia. Congratulations to Fyodor on this significant achievement and best wishes of further success!
