A team of students from the Institute of Information Technologies received a third degree diploma based on the results of the finals of the ICPC competition in Northern Eurasia

From December 11 to 13, the finals of the ICPC Northern Eurasia Finals – NEF – the largest international student team championship in sports algorithmic programming - took place. 269 teams took part in the competition, and the championship was held simultaneously in St. Petersburg, Novosibirsk, Astana and Kutaisi. The largest venue was the MTC Live Hall in St. Petersburg, and 152 student teams competed there.

At the championship, participants were offered to solve 12 problems in five hours, each of which required studying the conditions of the assignment, drawing up a mathematical model and a correct algorithm, with the account of technical limitations, and choosing a programming language and implementing the program per se. First degree diplomas were awarded to teams that solved eight or more problems (15 out of 269), second degree diplomas were awarded to those who solved seven problems (18 out of 269), and third degree diplomas were awarded to those who solved six problems (44 out of 269).

The team of the Institute of Information Technologies of RTU MIREA “Lush Cheesecakes” solved six problems and received a third degree diploma. The team members are: Ilya Svyatoslavovich Eroshev, Vyacheslav Vadimovich Barinov, Danila Sergeevich Chikunov. The team coach is Dmitry Sergeevich Kozyrev, an employee of the Institute of Artificial Intelligence.
