The Russian Language Department of the International Education Institute held the Autumn Ball for foreign students of the RTU MIREA as a part of the Teacher's Day celebration.
The event was attended by about 200 students and foreign guests of our University from such countries as Algeria, Angola, Armenia, Afghanistan, Belarus, Vietnam, Gabon, Guatemala, Guinea, Democratic Republic of Congo, Djibouti, Egypt, Zimbabwe, Iran, Yemen, Cameroon, China, Congo, Cuba, Laos, Mauritania, Mali, Mongolia, Nigeria, Rwanda, Syria, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Chad, Equatorial Guinea, South Africa, etc.
Many students came in the traditional clothes of their people, the diversity and originality of the dresses emphasizing the multinational composition of the RTU MIREA. They congratulated the teachers on the Teacher's Day and made some treats as a gift. The students from the states of Central Asia brought different types of pilaf, a graduate student from Cuba prepared three national dishes, the guys from Chad baked donuts.
The program of the event included a concert where they sang and danced to live music and instrumental soundtracks. At the concert, the ensemble “Madagascar” directed by Olga Alexandrova and Svetlana Gulyants performed with bard compositions. The ensemble included students from the Pridnestrovskaia Moldavskaia Respublika, Egypt, Equatorial Guinea, Mongolia, Russia.
Among those who helped prepare the event, as well as among the spectators and artists there were the students of the Pre-University Department for foreign citizens of the International Education Institute. To make it easier for the students to adapt and get to know each other, there was arranged an unusual international disco where everyone could play their music and teach the dances of their country.
