On April 24, the Fifth International Scientific and Practical Conference "Information and Innovative Technologies" was opened in the Great Hall of the Russian Center for Science and Culture in Prague under the auspices of the Radio Engineering and Telecommunication Systems Institute.

The conference was held in the following areas: "Fundamental Problems of Innovation", "Information Technologies in Education", "Information Technologies in Science and Industry", "Information Technologies in Social and Economic Sphere, including Health Care", "Economics of Information Systems and Digitalization ".

The official part of the conference was opened by Prof. Saigid U. Uvaysov, Doctor of Technical Sciences. He defined the main goal of the forum - the development of international interaction in the field of innovation based on modern technologies. The reporter invited to take part in conferences on related topics in Penza and Sochi and stressed that Russian scientists are responding quickly to changing tasks and needs in modern science, which is reflected in the reports and presentations of the conference participants.

A. Konchakov Acting Head of the Rossotrudnichestvo representative office in the Czech Republic, welcomed the participants and organizers. He noted the importance and relevance of the issues being considered at the conference; stressed that the RCSC in Prague is ready to provide all-round assistance to both young scientists and researchers and higher educational institutions and scientific organizations in establishing international contacts, developing mutually beneficial cooperation.

The plenary session included reports by Yaroslav Galik, Ph.D., lecturer of the International Trade Department at the Higher School of Economics in Prague; Lea Melnikova, PhD, Deputy Head of the International Trade Department at the University of Prague; Vitaly Kharkov, Chairman of the Alumni Association of the Zhukovsky Higher Air Force Academy; Prof. Sergei Khalyutin, Director General of the company "Nauka-Soft"; Olga Latypova, First Deputy Head of the Information Technologies Department of OJSC Surgutneftegaz; Prof. Nikolai Tikhomirov, Head of the Department of the G.V. Plekhanov Russian Economic University, and others.

The second half of the day was devoted to the work of round tables and master classes. Also, a seminar on the Economics of Information Systems was organized by the staff of the M.V. Lomonosov Moscow State University with the involvement of specialists from the oil and gas industry (Surgutneftegaz).

The conference continued its work on 25 and 26 April at the RCSC in Prague. Within its framework, there were sectional sessions, seminars, round tables, master classes, as well as short-term advanced training courses.
