The World Design Organization (WDO), of which RTU MIREA is a member, held the 33rd World Design Assembly (WDA) in person in Tokyo, Japan. The theme “Design Beyond” examined the evolution of design and its interaction with humanity, technology and the environment.
K.I. Belova, A.S. Churin and O.I. Skachkov, young lecturers and trainers of the Department of Computer Design of the Institute of Advanced Technologies and Industrial Programming was represented by RTU MIREA. The conference brought together representatives of universities and companies from the USA, Australia, India, China, New Zealand, France and other countries to discuss current issues relating to modern industrial design, artificial intelligence, human-centered design, and aspects of environmental design.
Leading designers from Mazda, Panasonic, and Yamaha shared their expertise.
On behalf of RTU MIREA, delegates took part in voting to select a new WDO president for 2024-2025, new members of the board of directors and amendments to the WDO charter. In addition, as part of the Assembly, a meeting of young designers took place, in which Alexey Churin took part.
During the conference, important business contacts were established with leading industrial designers from Japan, China, India, the USA, and Australia, who agreed to participate in design conferences organized by RTU MIREA.
