IIT Manual Wins AQUARIUS Nomination at “IT-Planet 2025” Olympiad

On May 26, RTU MIREA hosted the award ceremony for the winners of the International Olympiad in Information Technologies, “IT-Planet 2025” – one of the largest technology competitions for youth in Russia and the CIS. The Olympiad was supported by leading IT companies, including Astra Group, 1C, Infowatch, RED SOFT, Postgres Professional, ROBBO, Morizo, AQUARIUS, Lomonosov Northern (Arctic) Federal University, GENDALF, 1C-Rarus Group, and VR Concept.

The practical manual “Fundamentals of the Internet of Things using the Rudiron Hardware-Software Complex” by A.S. Zuev, A.V. Shendyapin, and Yu.Ye. Denisov won first place in the AQUARIUS-sponsored competition of educational materials on domestic developments in robotics.

Participants were tasked with creating a training aid focused on the Rudiron hardware and software system, a new Russian-developed platform for educational robotics and the Internet of Things. The manual by the three academics of the Institute of Information Technologies was recognized as the best submission.

The manual is designed for teachers and students learning the fundamentals of the Internet of Things using Russian-made equipment. It covers essential topics such as programming microcontrollers, operating sensors and actuators, and implementing IoT projects.

This award demonstrates that RTU MIREA not only incorporates modern IT education standards but also develops advanced approaches in the field.
