In Moscow RTU MIREA provided for the work of the Venice VR Expanded, the largest international exhibition of VR content

RTU MIREA and the Russian representative office of HTC Vive acted as technological partners of Venice VR Expanded, the largest international virtual reality content insertion, which took place between September 1 and September 19 at the Moscow Museum of Modern Art.

Apart from Moscow, during the days of the Venice International Film Festival, VR locations were deployed in 13 more cultural capitals of the world, including Paris, Amsterdam, Barcelona, Montreal, and other cities.

The exhibition in Moscow was attended by over 2,000 spectators, who had the opportunity to get acquainted with 37 immersive works from 21 countries of the world. Within the framework of the Venice International Film Festival, among the works submitted, the winners were selected in three nominations: the Grand Prix for the best work in VR, the best VR experience and the best VR story.

The level of technical equipment and the qualification of the laboratory staff of the Institute of Information Technologies, RTU MIREA, made it possible to organize and conduct such a high-tech and long-lasting event at the highest international level.
