International students of RTU MIREA visited the Museum of the main weapons relics of the Army – also known as “G.O.R.A.”

Students of the Preparatory Department for Foreign Citizens of the Institute of International Education, RTU MIREA, attended the formal opening ceremony of the Museum of the main weapons relics of the Army – “G.O.R.A.”. The new complex, located in the center of Moscow on Poklonnaya Gora, was created on the basis of the exposition of open premises of the Victory Museum. More than 400 rare exhibits of military equipment have been collected in 10 unique locations some of which exist in a single copy.

International students of RTU MIREA took an active part in the interactive program organized in this connection: went on excursions, got acquainted with the best models of Soviet tanks, learned more about the military automotive industry and the functioning of “hospitals on wheels”, walked along a fortified trench escaping from enemy shelling, reposed in a soldier's dugout, drove in a heating wagon and an ambulance train, dined on "soldier's porridge" in the field kitchen, etc.

A rich and intensive program, special scenery and sound effects made it possible for the students to delve into the atmosphere of wartime, learn about the heroic deeds of the Soviet soldiers.
