Kaspersky Lab and MIREA – Russian Technological University have entered into an agreement on cooperation in education, science and innovation

Kaspersky Lab and MIREA - Russian Technological University have entered into an agreement on cooperation in education, science and innovation, in particular in the use of cyber – immune technologies and software development based on the KasperskyOS operating system. On the part of the University, the coordinator of interaction in this direction will be Andrey Zuev, director of the Institute of Information Technologies of RTU MIREA.

The below listed areas of interaction between Kaspersky Lab and RTU MIREA will be also developed:

·        development and exchange of educational literature, teaching aids and materials, preparation of joint scientific monographs, scientific and methodological publications, popular science publications, articles, etc.;

·        exchange of experience in organizing and conducting classes using educational technologies;

·        implementation of joint projects, courses, seminars, lectures, retraining and advanced training programs for specialists;

·        organization and holding of joint scientific-practical and scientific-methodological symposiums, conferences and other events.

As part of the concluded agreement, RTU MIREA, as one of the leading technological universities in the country, will initiate the introduction of new principles of cyberimmune development into the educational process, design and scientific activities of the Institute of Information Technologies, and will also contribute to the development of the domestic operating system KasperskyOS. The agreement signed between Kaspersky Lab and RTU MIREA is an important step in the implementation of the import substitution policy in information technology.

“We are developing a promising area of cyber protection based on the concept of cyber immunity, where the KasperskyOS operating system plays a key role. The demand for cyber immune solutions will grow in the coming years, and they will be applied in various fields, such as industry, energy, transport infrastructure and smart city systems. We are actively working with universities to train specialists who are in demand,” says Andrey Dukhvalov, vice president and director of the advanced technologies department at Kaspersky Lab.

In this context, expanding interaction with Kaspersky Lab opens up new opportunities in the educational, design and scientific activities of RTU MIREA,” comments Andrey Zuev.
