MIREA – Russian Technological University faculty and staff took part in the selection of applicants from the Republic of Tajikistan

Between March 11 and April 11, MIREA – Russian Technological University  employees took part in selecting candidates from the Republic of Tajikistan for training in educational institutions of the Russian Federation in the 2021/2022 academic year as part of the implementation of the Government of the Russian Federation Decree No. 891 of October 8, 2013 "On the establishment of a quota for the education of foreign citizens and stateless persons in the Russian Federation". The qualification events were organized by the Russian Center for Science and Culture in Dushanbe (Representative Office of Rossotrudnichestvo in Tajikistan) with the participation of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Tajikistan and representatives of 23 Russian partner universities and were held in cities such as Khujand, Bokhtar, Kulyab, Khorog, Dushanbe. The first stage was a written test in the Russian language and specialized subjects, which were taken by more than 4,000 candidates. At the second stage, candidates participated in either face-to-face or distance motivational interviews. 

As part of the work of the Commission for admitting candidates for study in the Russian Federation, on March 30, Muhammaddovud Kayum Salomiyon, First Deputy Minister of Education and Science of the Republic of Tajikistan, had a meeting with members of the working group and representatives of the Russian universities.

MIREA – Russian Technological University was represented by I.S. Solunova, Deputy First Vice Rector, E.A., Slyozkina, Deputy Director of the Institute of International Education, I.Yu. Burtseva, Head of the Department for work with foreign students of the International Relations Department, E.N. Tarasova, Head of the Department of Russian as a Foreign Language of the Institute of International Education, and I.L. Shulman, Associate Professor of the VM-2 Department of the Institute of Physics and Technology. 

Also, employees of the Institute of International Education and the Department of International Relations of MIREA – Russian Technological University made presentations about the University at schools in the cities of Dushanbe and Tursunzade in order to attract foreign citizens to take on higher education programs at our University. In their presentations, they introduced schoolchildren to the advantages of MIREA – Russian Technological University, admission rules for foreign citizens, areas of training and other issues. Everyone had a chance to personally communicate with representatives of the University, ask questions that are of interest to them and get all the necessary information.
