MIREA – Russian Technological University held a Doors Open Day for all educational programs

On April 4, MIREA – Russian Technological University held a Doors Open Day for all educational programs.

The University has finally organized a long-awaited meeting for the applicants on its premises, not an online event. At the same time, all safety standards were provided for: classrooms were filled  50% only in order to maintain a social distance for visitors; and for all the people, and they were many, who wished to take part in the Doors Open Day, to be able to participate, the event was organized in two stages, the general program planned for 6 hours, and special meetings for the rest of the day. More than 2,000 applicants and their parents visited MIREA – Russian Technological University that day.

During the meeting, all RTU MIREA institutes demonstrated their latest developments and areas of training and specialties. Throughout the day, all the facilities were operating: interactive zones and stands of the military training center, the Altair Children's Technopark, the Student Union, representatives of partner enterprises also were actively involved in the event. In total, 37 presentations of the institutes and the Admissions Committee were offered to the visitors.

Apart from traditional presentations and exhibitions, a very diverse business program was prepared for the visitors: more than 90 various master classes, business and intellectual games, informative lectures, quizzes, and vocational guidance testing.

The students got familiarized with the most modern areas of science and research: augmented and virtual reality technologies, programming in Python, countering cyber-attacks and industrial espionage, DNA extraction, the Internet of Things, metadata extraction, legal analytics, and much more.
