More than 60 events for the applicants were held at RTU MIREA in June

The admissions campaign at RTU MIREA has started, and many applicants are already focused on filing their documents. And for those young people who have not yet decided on the choice of program and do not fully understand the admission rules, a whole series of events was arranged by the University.

Webinars from the admissions committee

In June, the admissions committee held two webinars for the applicants. One is for the applicants to bachelor's and specialty degrees programs (registration), the other is for the 9th grade high school students entering the College of Programming and Cybersecurity. Events to get to know RTU MIREA

Applicants were able to look into different premises of RTU MIREA and get to know the University personally. In June, newcomers were greeted by two departments of the Lomonosov Institute of Fine Chemical Technologies, educational and scientific laboratory of intelligent and adaptive systems, as well as the College of Programming and Cybersecurity.

More than 15 events were dedicated to introducing applicants to individual bachelor's and specialty degrees programs. These include Information Systems and Technologies, Biotechnology, Statistics, Innovation, and many others. Some institutes held presentations dedicated to all of their programs at once: Institute of Advanced Technologies and Industrial Programming, Institute of Management Technologies, Institute of Information Technologies. The latter also introduced applicants to professional prospects in the IT industry as part of the traditional event “Around IT in 30 minutes.”

A number of presentations were held for those entering the master's program. Applicants learned about such areas as Industrial Pharmacy, Biotechnology, Statistics, Law, and others.

In 2023, RTU MIREA opened the Advanced Engineering School of Microwave Electronics where they train new generation of engineering personnel for the country’s radio-electronic industry, capable of ensuring import substitution. Admission to the Advanced Engineering School of Microwave Electronics is already underway. In June, presentations of the Advanced Engineering School program — Microwave Materials and Technologies — were held twice.

School-specific events

In June, RTU MIREA held a number of events for specific schools. Altair Children's technology park hosted students from school No.1741. They had a tour of the laboratories, as well as master classes on “Chemistry of Fragrant Substances” and “Creating a Model of a Traffic Light.”

Master classes “Automatic evening lighting” and “A shot from the past” were held for future school-leavers from the school on Vernadsky Avenue in the Altair Children's Technopark. Creating a retro game using Pygame, "The Chemistry of Fragrant Substances."

Events at the Altair Children's Technopark of RTU MIREA

Altair Children's technology park of RTU MIREA opened its doors not only to students of specific schools, but also to everyone. More than ten lectures and master classes were held for schoolchildren in June, more than half of them online, the rest in person. The children learned the secrets of creating a business, became acquainted with professions in business informatics and business analytics, learned to control the quality of medicines and perform microscopy of medicinal plants. Traditionally, most of the events of the Altair Children's Technopark were held by representatives of RTU MIREA institutes.

Participation of RTU MIREA in third-party educational events

RTU MIREA held a number of events at VDNKh (Exhibition of People’s Achievements). As part of the Russia forum, the University organized a Chemical algae master class for schoolchildren. Everyone had a chance to study the process of formation of crystalline hydrates from various salts.

In addition, in the 57th pavilion at VDNKh, as part of the Decade of Science and Technology exposition, a stand of RTU MIREA was opened, it was dedicated to the admissions campaign for the 2024/25 academic year.
