Rector of RTU MIREA participated in the VIII Belarusian-Russian Youth Forum

The forum began its work on December 13 in Minsk. During the event, the participants discussed how to provide support to youth leaders and strengthen human resources, specifically, how to give more assistance to specialists working with youth; they also spoke about cooperation between Russia and Belarus in the development and support of volunteering, youth employment, and programs for youth support.

On December 14, S.A.Kudzh, Rector of RTU MIREA, took part in the Second Forum of the Association of Universities of Russia and Belarus held within the framework of the Belarusian-Russian Youth Forum. The main issues discussed were the social and humanitarian potential of higher education in the framework of the Union State, digitalization of education, and expertise relating to organizing the activities of universities under the COVID-19 pandemic. Currently, more than 11 thousand Belarusian students receive higher education in Russia, and about one and a half thousands of their Russian peers in Belarus.

“Russian and Belarusian universities intend to continue active cooperation in the exchange of students,” said Stanislav Alekseevich Kudzh. – In this regard, it is necessary to expand the exchange of talented young people. First of all, we are talking about getting a diploma in those specialties for which there is no specialized training at the universities of Belarus”.

The Belarusian-Russian Youth Forum has been held since 2013. “I am proud that the Association of Public Associations National Council of Youth and Children’s Organizations of Russia and MIREA – Russian Technological University take a worthy place among its organizers,” noted S.А. Kudzh.

The forum was attended by 60 people representing youth public associations, government bodies, ministries and departments, as well as partner organizations of Belarus and Russia. The youth forum continued till December 15th.

On the final day, its participants joined the republican Memory of the Heart youth patriotic project, laid flowers to the Minsk – Hero City stele, and lit lights of memory. Then, the Preservation of Historical Memory discussion platform started at the Belarusian State Museum of the History of the Great Patriotic War. The work of the forum ended with a meeting with members of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of Belarus.
