Representative of RTU MIREA elected Deputy Chairman of the Education Commission of the Youth Parliament under the State Duma of the Russian Federation

The regular, sixth meeting of the Youth Parliament under the State Duma of the Russian Federation was held on November 29. At this meeting, Sergey Ermakov, member of the Youth Parliament, representative of RTU MIREA, senior lecturer of the Institute of Information Technologies, member of the Committee of the International Youth Public Organization "Student Union of MIREA", was elected Deputy Chairman of the Commission on Culture and Education of the Youth Parliament under the State Duma of the Russian Federation on the proposal of Boris Chernyshov, Deputy Chairman of the State Duma.

At the meeting, the results of the work of the Youth Parliament for 2024 were summed up, and a Memorandum of Cooperation was signed between the Youth Parliament under the State Duma and the Belarusian Republican Youth Union Public Association. Boris Chernyshov, Deputy Chairman of the State Duma, noted that the new convocation of the Youth Parliament has proven its importance in the interests of the entire country.

"The new convocation of the Youth Parliament has proven that it is a living organ of youth parliamentarism connected with the desire of young people from all over Russia to make our country better. We are creating an opportunity for young people from all regions to have their voices heard," Boris Chernyshov emphasized.

Artem Metelev, Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Youth Policy, also noted that the interaction between the State Duma and the Youth Parliament is already yielding results: more than 20 legislative initiatives are being jointly developed.

Also, on November 28, a representative of RTU MIREA took part in training seminars for members of the Youth Parliament, which were held in the Parliamentary Library.

Sergey Ermakov will continue to work in the Youth Parliament under the State Duma of the Russian Federation and will contribute to the development of educational initiatives, improvement of legislative processes, as well as the implementation of socio-political projects aimed at improving the lives of the country's youth.
