Representatives of Huawei and RTU MIREA agreed on a concept for the development of interaction between the parties for the period of up to 2025


From October 26 to October 27, the annual Huawei conference “Digital Community 2021” was held, which is the largest industry event in the field of ICT. The leading industry experts, partners, representatives of government agencies and the media, discussed the key digitalization trends, as well as the development needs for information and communication technologies in Eurasia.

At the conference site, a working meeting was held of RTU MIREA representatives and Felix Xue, Director of Huawei's HR Department in the Eurasia region. Vladimir Lvovich Pankov, Advisor for educational and methodological work, and Andrey Sergeevich Zuev, Director of the Institute of Information Technologies, spoke about the concept for the development of interaction between RTU MIREA and Huawei for the period up to 2025. Felix Xue outlined Huawei’s experience in building a human resources ecosystem in the Eurasia region.

Upon the results of the discussion, the parties agreed on the areas for the interaction in training promising IT specialists on the basis of the Institute of Information Technologies of RTU MIREA:

  • Starting with September 2022, the implementation of the training course program 09.03.01, specialty – “Informatics and Computer Engineering” of the “Information Technology Infrastructure”, which includes the study of ten courses of the Huawei Academy of Information and Network Technologies with further possibility to get free of charge certification at the Associate (HCIA) and Professional (HCIP) levels.
  • Integration of the materials of the Huawei Academy HCIA-Datacom, HCIA-Storage and HCIA-Cloud Service courses into the “System Administration” program, which is included into the basic part of the curricula of all undergraduate programs of the Institute of Information Technologies.
  • Incorporation of Huawei Academy HCIA-AI (Artificial Intelligence), HCIA-Datacom and HCIA-Storage courses as part of the elite training program and additional free of charge training for students of the Institute of Information Technologies.

The agreements reached will allow RTU MIREA to integrate the expertise, practices and technologies of Huawei, a leading international leader in information and communication technologies, into the educational training process of promising IT specialists.
