Representatives of the Institute of Information Technologies took part in the International Scientific Conference “Current problems of applied mathematics, computer science and mechanics”

From December 4 to 6, the regular annual International Scientific Conference “Current problems of applied mathematics, computer science and mechanics” was held at the Department of Applied Mathematics, Informatics and Mechanics of Voronezh State University. Traditionally, the conference is interdisciplinary. Its most important goal is to unite specialists from various fields of science to discuss new fundamental issues and applied problems, and search for ways to solve them.

The plenary session was addressed by T.E. Smolentseva, acting head of the Department of Applied Mathematics of the Institute of Information Technologies, Doctor of Technical Sciences. The topic of her presentation was “Problematic issues in the daily activities of the Department and ways to solve them: a systemic view, or how dissertations are born.”

At the section “Mathematical and computer modeling, computational experiment”, reports were presented by the staff members of the Department of Applied Mathematics: “Analysis of models of periodic structures of space-time processes” – assistant professor B.A. Krynetsky; “Modern aspects of big data analysis with ordered argument” – assistant professor A.A. Paramonov; “Stability analysis of the Brusselator model” – assistant professor A.L. Shkerin.

At the section “System analysis and modern management problems”, presentations were made by undergraduate and graduate students of the Institute of Information Technologies: “Development of an application for multidimensional representation and personalization of the educational schedule” - student E.V. Smolentsev; “On the issue of ways to automate the management of the activities of an educational and scientific structural unit at a higher education organization” – graduate student M.A. Puchkova; “Decision support in management processes of organizational systems” – graduate student L.K. Movsisyan.

The Conference Organizing Committee noted the thorough preparation and high quality of the materials offered by representatives of RTU MIREA.
