During the visit, Stanislav Alekseevich Kudzh, Rector of RTU MIREA, introduced his colleagues to the main areas of training and research activities of the University. Also, representatives of the Kurchatov Institute NRC, together with the top management of RTU MIREA, took part in the tour of the megalaboratory of the University. The introduction to RTU MIREA began with a visit to the technological complexes of the Institute of Radio Electronics and Informatics. The guests got acquainted with the complex of mega-laboratories – Radio assembly, manufacturing of printed circuit boards, their customization, prototyping and control, and RTU MIREA CosMoCenter.
At the Institute of Information Technologies, representatives of the Kurchatov Institute National Research Center visited the educational and research centers: Intelligent Sensor Systems and Technical Means of Information Security Center, Information Technologies and Information Security Laboratory, Motion Capture Laboratory of Samsung Academy, Samsung Academy, Internet of Things Laboratory, Laboratory of Immersive Technologies, Universal Educational and Scientific Laboratory of Technologies for Analytics, Modeling, Design and Digital Prototyping, and Intelligent Sensor Systems and Technical Means of Information Security Laboratory.
The excursion continued with a visit to the Institute of Artificial Intelligence, MIREA – Russian Technological University. The guests had a tour of the interdepartmental specialized educational and scientific laboratory “Intelligent autonomous and multi-agent robotic systems” and Industry 4.0 Digital robotic production inter-institute training center. The guests visited not only the mega-laboratories of the university, but also the Situation Center of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of Russia, which operates on the RTU MIREA premises.
Today, the Kurchatov Institute National Research Center is one of the leading research centers in the world, an interdisciplinary national laboratory, which brings together the country's scientific potential and resources in the field of nuclear physics, energy, materials science, information technology, biology and genetics:
The Kurchatov Institute NRC has concentrated the research, technological and human potential necessary for the development of fundamentally new areas of science and technology, R&D, and the development of promising production technologies based on large-scale, unique research, technological mega-installations and complexes (megascience). Since the day of its foundation, the Kurchatov Institute has been implementing an interdisciplinary approach aimed at a closed cycle: from fundamental research to final technologies.
