14.09.2018

On September 6, in the small hall of the State Kremlin Palace, the Festival of India 2018-2019 was opened, with more than 30 events planned in 22 cities of Russia.

Foreign students of the RTU MIREA, with the assistance of the International Relations Office, received an invitation to the concert opening the Festival. The program of the event included dance numbers of two groups from India: the Abhinaya group presented the thematic dance opera Ahandalaya about the cyclic rhythms of the universe, and the group Aantaart performed with the dance Kathak, symbolizing various energy flows.

Not only classical Indian but also Russian folk dances were presented at the Festival, which were especially interesting for our foreign students. The world-famous State Academic Choreographic Ensemble "Berezka" completed the opening of the event.

So, the foreign students of the University visited one of the main concert halls of Russia, learned more about the fine organization of the Indian dance tradition and the emotionality of Russian folk dance.
