RTU MIREA and N.N. Blokhin National Medical Research Center of Oncology will jointly train medical physicists

MIREA — Russian Technological University and N.N. Blokhin National Medical Research Center of Oncology signed a network agreement on the implementation of a joint retraining program in the specialty "Medical Physicist". Representatives of the parties signed the document during the plenary session of the IV National Conference with International Participation "Inclusive Design — Opportunities for All" held at RTU MIREA.

Earlier, on May 23, 2023, a cooperation agreement was signed between RTU MIREA and N.N. Blokhin National Medical Research Center of Oncology. The parties agreed to develop new information technologies in the field of pediatric oncology and hematology, including artificial intelligence technologies, and to develop new training programs and conduct joint research in a number of research areas. The joint work of the parties is a continuation of the targeted cooperation of RTU MIREA with industrial partners within the framework of the university’s participation in the Priority 2030 Strategic Academic Leadership Program.

The new retraining program is a unique example of an educational project in a network format which is being implemented by one of the leading technological universities and an institution with a high-tech clinical base. The first recruitment of students will begin on December 1, 2024.
