On April 29, bachelor’s, master’s, and preparatory department students of the RTU MIREA Institute of International Education (IIE), took part in an event associated with the media project “Adventures of Foreigners in Russia.” The project aims to help international students adapt to life in Russia through social media, while also promoting Russian education abroad and creating a positive image of Russia for a global audience.

The event had two parts. First, a roundtable brought together project representatives and IIE staff, including Deputy Director E.A. Slyozkina, Head of the Department of Russian as a Foreign Language E.N. Tarasova, and Associate Professor F.S. Makoeva. They discussed ways to help foreign students adapt at the university and get involved in extracurricular activities.

The second part featured a presentation of the “Adventures of Foreigners in Russia” project for RTU MIREA’s international students. Organizers explained how students can join the project, its formats and requirements, and highlighted its presence on platforms like VKontakte and Telegram. The project’s channels not only share captivating stories about foreign students’ life, but also offer online guidance on Russian laws and regulations.
