RTU MIREA held an international webinar on Data Storage Technology

On September 18, 2020, a webinar on Data Storage Technology was held by the staff and employees of the RTU MIREA International Relations Department in collaboration with the Representative Office of the Taipei-Moscow Coordination Commission for Economic and Cultural Cooperation in Moscow (TMECCC), and Phison Corporation (Taiwan), one of the world leaders in the production of NAND Flash controllers and storage solutions, as well as a provider of OEM/ODM services.

The webinar was inspired by the idea of a higher education institution – base chair –base enterprise training system which for many years has been implemented at RTU MIREA.

Alexander Sigov, President of RTU MIREA, Chung-Yung Keng, Head of the TMECCC Representative Office, and Tzung Horng Kuang, Vice-President of Phison Electronics Corp., and other honorary guests of the webinar welcomed the participants expressing their deep-rooted conviction in the need to enhance cooperation between educational institutions and production companies of Russia and Taiwan.

Over 70 lecturers, instructors, staff members and students of the University were participating in the webinar. On behalf of RTU MIREA, Andrey Sergeevich Zuev, Director of the Institute of Information Technologies made a presentation – A brief overview of data storage implementation in higher technical education: laboratory equipment and educational programs, and Artem Sergeevich Lebedev, lecturer at the KB-4 Department of the Institute of Integrated Security and Special Instrumentation, shared his ideas on The Application of data mining, machine learning and methods of processing large amounts of data in interdisciplinary research in the fields of medicine, computer science and cybersecurity.

The participants in the webinar engaged in a professional dialogue with an active interest, which made the event lively, professional, and exciting. All the participants highly appreciated the professionalism of the event and expressed their desire to make the exchange of research findings and academic information in the online format a tradition. At the end of the webinar, there was a ceremony of awarding prizes (3D NAND Flash storage devices) from Smartbuy and Superwave, the sponsors of the webinar. All the participants and speakers received signed and sealed personal certificates.
