RTU MIREA hosted a delegation from the Shanghai Institute of Optics and Fine Mechanics

On October 31, a delegation from the Shanghai Institute of Optics and Precision Mechanics (SIOM) of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, headed by professors Liu Shijie and He Hongbo, visited MIREA – Russian Technological University.

This meeting was the first personal acquaintance between the top management and administration of RTU MIREA and SIOM and should become a prologue to the development of large-scale cooperation in science, research, as well as academic exchanges of scientists, the teaching staff and the students between universities.

A long conversation between Academician A.S. Sigov and Professor He Hongbo showed great mutual interest and many points of contact in research work.

The delegation highly appreciated the student development projects presented by IIT, IPTIP and IRI. In addition, during the course of communication in the laboratories, it turned out that RTU MIREA and SIOM have been virtually connected via the activities of graduates of MIREA – Russian Technological University, engaged in Russian-Chinese projects and joint ventures.
