RTU MIREA hosted an online meeting of the Azerbaijan-Russian working group on cooperation in the field of youth policy.
The meeting was attended by Elena Druzhinina, Deputy Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation and Intigam Babayev, Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports of the Republic of Azerbaijan. They noted that communication and cooperation between the youth of the two countries in the diplomatic, humanitarian, research, cultural and other fields was to enhance the relations between the two states.
Then there followed a presentation on the implementation of the state youth policy pursued by Azerbaijan and Russia.
After detailed discussions, the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation and the Ministry of Youth and Sports of the Republic of Azerbaijan adopted an action plan for 2021 to develop youth cooperation. It includes an Azerbaijan-Russian youth forum, youth and student exchanges, cooperation in the field of the volunteer movement, participation in scientific and creative projects, and other events.
The working group was formed in accordance with the protocol of the 18th meeting of the Intergovernmental State Commission on Economic Cooperation between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Russian Federation held in Baku on December 9 last year.
