RTU MIREA held a Russian-Italian youth meeting in an online format. More than 70 representatives of both countries took part in the event, shared their experience, and discussed topical issues of interaction between the Russian and Italian youth.
The meeting started with a plenary session on humanitarian cooperation between Russia and Italy. It was attended by Elena Druzhinina, Deputy Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation, Sergey Razov, Russian Ambassador to Italy, Pasquale Terracciano, Italian Ambassador to Russia, Flavio Siniskalki, Head of the Department of Youth Policy and General Civil Service of the Council of Ministers of the Italian Republic, Pavel Shevtsov, Deputy Head of Rossotrudnichestvo, Daria Pushkova, Head of the Russian Center for Science and Culture in Rome, Paola Choni, Director of the Italian Institute of Culture in St. Petersburg, and Vladimir Chety, President of the World Alumni Association.
During the session, the participants discussed the development of the Russian-Italian relations, simplification of the visa regime for participants in international exchanges, and the interaction in the field of environmental projects. The participants in meeting spoke about the experience of implementing projects in the area of youth cooperation between Russia and Italy, made proposals regarding projects for the inclusion into the Roadmap of youth cooperation between the parties, as well as measures for the development of youth ties and programs in the field of culture and higher education.
The event was organized by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation, the Department of Youth Policy and General Civil Service of the Council of Ministers of the Italian Republic, the National Council of Youth and Children’s Associations of Russia, the National Council of Youth of Italy, and MIREA – Russian Technological University.
