RTU MIREA ICB Triumphs at International CTF Competitions

The First International Conference on Cybersecurity, Digital Forensics, and Artificial Intelligence Applications took place at the University of Information Technologies in Astana, Kazakhstan. In addition to a dynamic program of academic presentations, the conference featured the official launch of the Cybertechnology Research Center at Astana University of Information Technologies, the signing of a Memorandum of Cooperation in Data Security, and an international CTF competition, ICCSDFAI 2025.

Representing RTU MIREA, the team “cR4.sh” from Department KB-4 “Intelligent Information Security Systems” at the Institute of Cybersecurity and Digital Technologies—comprised of Nikita Babkov, Ivan Naidenov, Mikhail Luzgin, and Mikhail Kobyak – competed in the Capture the Flag event organized by Astana IT University (AITU ICTF) and emerged among the winners. The competition challenged participants in a variety of categories, including malware analysis, digital forensics, steganography, cryptography, OSINT, and web testing, with tasks ranging from basic to highly complex.
