On September 23, employees of the RTU MIREA International Relations Department took part in an analytical webinar organized by the British company Quacquarelli Symonds for universities participating in the event upon the results of the published QS Graduate Employment Ranking – 2022.
The QS Intelligence Unit – the research and professional services division of QS – provides universities around the world with customized benchmarking performance against each institution’s key mission metrics: teaching, research impact, reputation, student employability and internationalization.
The webinar dealt with the issues of analyzing the activities of universities in relation to the employment at the graduates’ level. The ranking is based on five key indicators:
reputation of employers;
- employment rate of graduates working full-time or part-time during the 12 months period after graduation;
- interaction between the employer and the students, for example, organizing fairs and internships at enterprises;
- success of graduates (particularly successful professionals; number of graduates who have taken the leading positions in their areas of activity);
- partnership with employers with the account of cooperation of universities with enterprises, as well as joint publications based on the results of R&D conducted by university scholars and representatives of R&D companies.
