Two representatives of RTU MIREA — Ye. S. Odintsova, Head of the International Relations Directorate, and T. I. Kalichkina, Associate Professor of the Department of Russian as a Foreign Language at the Institute of International Education — took part in the educational exhibition “Russian Universities Are the Best Choice” and attended the final stages of Vietnam’s 18th National Russian Language Contest for High School Students and 22nd National Russian Language Contest for University Students.
These events, organized by the Rossotrudnichestvo office in Vietnam, aimed to promote Russian education. Alongside RTU MIREA, six other Russian universities from Moscow, St. Petersburg, Novosibirsk, Tula, and Tomsk presented at the exhibition.
The exhibition was opened by Vladimir Murashkin, Director of the Russian Center of Science and Culture in Hanoi and Counselor at the Russian Embassy in Vietnam.
RTU MIREA’s presentation showcased its most sought-after and popular academic programs and highlighted the unique opportunities available to students. Exhibition visitors were introduced to the university’s study programs, admission terms for foreign citizens and stateless persons under government quotas, as well as the application requirements and document submission process for studying in the Russian Federation.
The event program featured presentations by Russian universities at schools in Hanoi and other regions of northern Vietnam. University representatives met with government officials from the Thanh Hoa and Nam Dinh provinces to discuss partnership initiatives with Vietnamese universities, including student exchange programs and broader research collaboration. The exhibition attracted significant interest from Vietnamese schoolchildren in learning Russian and pursuing higher education in Russia.
