RTU MIREA students completed their studies in seven internship programs

12.07.2024

Between July 1 and July 5, programs were conducted in seven areas for students of RTU MIREA, including those on the premises of the branch in Fryazino:

Verification and pre-production preparation of printed circuit board projects in DeltaCAM: during the internship, students studied the route of verification and pre-production preparation of printed circuit board projects in the new domestic engineering software DeltaCAM 1.0 from the strategic partner of the University, Eremex JSC. The new course on DeltaCAM and the first edition were implemented for the first time and had not previously been demonstrated at Russian universities.

Modern methods to obtain and research innovative elastomeric materials: during the internship, students developed formulations and produced tire tread rubber, studied the influence of formulation factors on the complex of technological characteristics of rubber compounds and the performance properties of vulcanizates. Students mastered the operating principle and acquired skills in researching elastomeric polymer materials in accordance with GOST (Russian National Standard) using more than 10 pieces of laboratory equipment.

Fundamentals of design and programming of UAVs for autonomous flight: the internship was aimed at involving students in technical and innovative activities in the field of designing intelligent UAV control systems and information processing for autonomous flight. During the internship course, classes were conducted aimed at studying the basics of piloting, the design of multi-rotor unmanned aircraft systems and technical means of controlling their flight, computer vision for object detection and digital photogrammetry, as well as the implementation of group flight control of UAVs.

Security of computer networks: during the internship course, students learned how local and distributed computer networks work, built a simulation model of a corporate network, experienced in practice the insufficient security of the Internet and intranet, learned to deploy virtual private networks (VPN), install and configure firewalls and systems intrusion detection/prevention.

Methods of destructive and non-destructive testing of materials and products: students became acquainted with advanced technologies and techniques used in modern science and industry. The children received valuable practical skills in using modern research and testing equipment, preparing samples for research, analyzing and processing experimental data, which they can apply in further studies and professional activities.

Development of radar systems based on ESP32 microcontrollers: students learned the basics of radar, radio direction finding and organization of wireless communication systems. The internship participants learned to work with the ESP32 microcontroller, control the operation of radio modules and create applications for processing and displaying data.

Through-hole mounting of radio components on printed circuit boards: during the internship course, students acquired the skills of through-hole and surface mounting of components on printed circuit boards. We studied the basics of designing electronic devices in domestic CAD systems "Compass-3D", DeltaDesign and POLYNOM:MDM.

Students of all bachelor's, specialist's and master's degrees courses were able to attend the internships, regardless of their main field of study. More than 70 students who successfully completed the internship programs will be awarded confirmation certificates.

The internship programs were conducted as part of the implementation of the Priority 2030 program.
