RTU MIREA team won international information security competition

The RTU MIREA team of the Institute of Integrated Safety and Special Instrument Engineering won the International Cybersecurity Competition (HITCTF2020 - International Invitational Competition in Cybersecurity) in the international standings.

The tournament was organized online on December 5-6 by Harbin Polytechnic University in cooperation with the Research Center for Computer Networks and Information Security Technologies of the Harbin Institute of Technology and Lilac CTF. 38 teams from the Russian Federation and China were registered for the competition. Russia was represented by 10 teams from RTU MIREA, Moscow Technical University of Communication and Informatics, Moscow State Automobile and Road Technical University, Irkutsk National Research Technical University, Ural State University, Amur State University, Far East Federal University, and other universities.

The participants encountered difficulties associated with additional translation, which were further even more complicated for some tasks and the code of some pages had a large number of Chinese characters. RTU MIREA representatives coped with the assignment and won the international standing. An additional bonus was a cash prize of 3,000 yuan.
