The RTU MIREA teams successfully performed at the Northern Eurasia Regional Contest 2020 semifinals of the ICPC World Programming Championship that took place on December 13.
The team This name already exists members are Viktor Volkov, Daniil Avtushko and Anatoly Ignatiev. Bulat Shamsutdinov, Kirill Petrov and Ibragim Idrisov became the members of the AniMates team.
Over the past 16 years, not a single RTU MIREA team could qualify for the most prestigious competition in Northern Eurasia. This year, our representatives not only passed the selection stage, but were also awarded Third Degree diplomas (the Third Award). All the team members were awarded, as well as their coaches, namely: Dmitry Kozyrev and Evgeny Kichak.
The students of both teams managed to solve five problems correctly, but at a different speed and with the different number of unsuccessful attempts and penalty time. Unfortunately, the extensive penalty time did not allow students to pass on to the next stage of the World Programming Championship. However, their achievements are unprecedented for RTU MIREA.
Congratulations on your success, dear students, and we wish you very good luck and further achievements!
