RTU MIREA took the 2nd place in the Ranking of universities of the digital economy 2024

MIREA – Russian Technological University (RTU MIREA) became the second in the Ranking of universities of the digital economy in 2024. This is an analytical study aimed at identifying universities that are leaders in the digital economy based on the opinions of leading IT and technology companies. The results of the rating were summarized by autonomous non-profit organization “Digital Economy” with the support of the Association of Computer and Information Technology Enterprises.

The ranking participants are Russian universities that provide training in 69 specialties classified by the Ministry of Finance of Russia as IT training. The final results are presented for two groups of universities: universities in Moscow and St. Petersburg, and separately for regional universities. The final Ranking of universities of the digital economy among Moscow and St. Petersburg universities includes 20 educational institutions.

For RTU MIREA, the honorable second place in such a significant ranking means that the professional community recognizes the high-quality and large-scale training of IT personnel at the university. It also encourages the university to strengthen its cooperation with employers in the field of IT — leading technology companies, leaders of the digital economy.

A year earlier, RTU MIREA had already become a member of the rating, taking 8th place. The rise to the second position indicates the university's breakthrough in training IT personnel, the development of the Digital Department as part of the university's participation in the Priority 2030 project, and a qualitatively new level of interaction with partners: 1C, Samsung, Yandex, VK, Rosatom State Corporation, Astra Group, Rostelecom PJSC., and many others.
