On November 28-29 at the RTU MIREA, with the support of the Embassy of the Swiss Confederation in Moscow, in order to increase the level of scientific research of young scientists of the University, develop international cooperation and exchange information there was held a Russian-Swiss scientific seminar «Materials of electronics in ultrashort ultrastrong electromagnetic field», which was attended by about 70 scientists.
The participants were greeted by A.S. Sigov, the President of the RTU MIREA, Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences, and A.A. Melnikov, the head of the Department of Science, Technology and Education at the Swiss Embassy in the Russian Federation. Presentations were made by world-renowned scientists from Switzerland, the Netherlands, France, representing ETH Zurich, Paul Scherrer Institute, IEMN École Centrale de Lille, as well as by leading scientists from Russia from the A.M. Prokhorov Institute, A.F. Ioffe Physical-Technical Institute, Russian Quantum Center (Skolkovo).
Poster presentations were made by young scientists, graduate students and students of M.V. Lomonosov Moscow State University., Russian Quantum Center, RTU MIREA and other universities and organizations. The best poster presentations were awarded with diplomas:
- First place — Ilya Novikov, M.V. Lomonosov Moscow State University, for the presentation «Enhancement and ultrafast dynamics of magneto-optical Kerr effect in magneto-plasmonic crystals».
- Second place — Ekaterina Malkova, M.V. Lomonosov Moscow State University, for the presentation «Nonlinear quantum interferometry in terahertz range».
