Student of Lomonosov Institute of Fine Chemical Technologies became the bronze medalist of the Open International Student Internet Olympiads

Ekaterina Yurievna Balueva, 2nd year student of the Department of Environmental and Industrial Safety of Lomonosov Institute of Fine Chemical Technologies, won the 3rd place in the Open International Student Internet Olympiads for the 2020-2021 academic year (spring series) in ecology.

The main goal of the Open International Student Internet Olympiads is to identify talented and gifted young people, to promote science and research activities that allow participants in the Olympiads to maximize their intellectual potential.

The Open International Student Internet Olympiads are held in 15 subjects studied at higher educational institutions – humanities, socio-economic, natural sciences and general professional cycles – for students of 1– 4 courses. The Olympiad consists of two rounds: the qualifying (at university level) and the final one (and / or regional, all-Russian, international).

The final stage of the Ecology Olympiad was attended by 425 students from 88 universities of the Russian Federation, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan.

The final stage was held on April 9 in the format of online testing with the use of proctoring technology. Within 60 minutes, the participants had to complete assignments in the following sections:

  1. The organism and the environment
  2. The Ecosystems
  3. The Biosphere and the human being
  4. Environmental protection

Winners and prize-winners of the Open International Student Internet Olympiads in all disciplines are awarded medals and diplomas of I, II and III degrees.

The Organizing Committee of the Olympiad noted the high level of knowledge of the MIREA – Russian Technological University student and awarded the University the title of Winner in the Open International Student Internet Olympiads of 2021.
