Migisho Abijah Kajabika, student of the Institute of International Education, MIREA – Russian Technological University, from the Democratic Republic of Congo, took part in the educational Energy 2050 forum held from May 29 to June 1, 2021 in Tyumen as part of the I am a professional Olympiad. 60 boys and girls from 18 regions of Russia attended the Forum. They became winners in a special contest of motivation letters at the I am a professional All-Russian Olympiad for students.

Students got an opportunity to demonstrate their professional competencies by participating in team projects aimed to solve  engineering problems. Also, the forum program included business games, simulation games, lectures, discussions, seminars and round table discussions with specialists from Russian and foreign technological companies and leading research, design, technological and engineering centers in Russia. All forms of activity involved the development of skills for effective communication and teamwork, critical and systemic thinking. The main focus of the forum was concentrated not so much on theoretical knowledge, as on the ability of the participants to apply it in real-life professional activities.

“It was a unique experience: learning how to assess current trends using Foresight methods and writing a working draft based on these assessments. And the opportunity to work and exchange ideas on the project with a team of smart and enthusiastic people made this forum unforgettable!” – shared Migisho Abijah his impressions.
