The Institute of International Education took part in the III International scientific and practical conference "Ushakov Readings in Tashkent"

The III International scientific and practical conference "Ushakov Readings in Tashkent", dedicated to the outstanding linguist and scholar D.N. Ushakov, was held on November 26 at the Russian House. The organizer was the representative office of Rossotrudnichestvo in the Republic of Uzbekistan.

The conference participants were addressed with a welcoming speech by Irina Staroselskaya, head of the Russian House, who noted the importance of holding such events for the development and popularization of the Russian language in Uzbekistan, Irina Sulzhina, coordinator of educational programs and Shohista Sultanova, Doctor of Philology, head of the Department of Russian language and teaching methods at Alfraganus University.

RTU MIREA was represented at the III International scientific and practical conference by the Institute of International Education. E.N. Tarasova, Head of the Department of Russian Language (as a Foreign Language), gave a plenary report on current issues of teaching Russian as a foreign language. In the afternoon, more than 80 people took part in a master class on innovative technologies in teaching Russian, which was conducted by E.N. Tarasova and T.I. Kalichkina, Associate Professor of the Department of Russian (as a Foreign Language) of the Institute of International Education.

The Representative Office of Rossotrudnichestvo in the Republic of Uzbekistan organized a meeting with schoolchildren of the Republic of Uzbekistan for Russian universities - participants of the conference with the aim of conducting career guidance events and promoting Russian professional education abroad.

Representatives of RTU MIREA visited comprehensive secondary school No. 132 in Tashkent and comprehensive secondary school No. 4 in Chirchik. During the meeting, schoolchildren were able to ask questions of interest to them and receive all the necessary information about the admission rules, programs and areas of study, learn about the advantages of RTU MIREA, the conditions of study and accommodation.
