Professors and instructors of the Department of the Russian Language (as a Foreign Language) of the Institute of International Education took part in the scientific and practical seminar with international participation "Language and Culture in the Context of Digitalization of Teaching Russian as a Foreign Language", which was held at the site of the Russian State University named after A.N. Kosygin ("Technologies. Design. Art"). Scientists and postgraduate students from Russia, Slovakia, Bulgaria, China, Vietnam and Turkey took part in the seminar.
The seminar discussed the methodological potential of the information and educational environment when teaching foreigners the Russian language, the requirements for the quality of digital educational content, the role of artificial intelligence in online education, and the use of digital tools to create a dynamic and effective educational environment.
Head of the Department of Russian Language (as a Foreign Language) Elena Nikolaevna Tarasova spoke about the methodological problem of selecting methods and techniques for teaching foreign students in technical fields, digital competencies and the requirements imposed today on a teacher of Russian as a foreign language.
Tatyana Aleksandrovna Pavlova, Senior Lecturer of the Department of Russian Language (as a Foreign Language), noted that as part of her dissertation research, she is working on creating an online simulator aimed at activating the educational and scientific speech of foreign students. Currently, she is testing the selected materials at the Department of the Russian Language (as a Foreign Language) of the Institute of International Education of the Russian Technical University MIREA.
As part of the seminar, a round table discussion "Neural network technologies as a means of optimizing the educational process" was held in an online format with the involvement of foreign specialists. The work of a creative workshop on organizing educational online excursions for foreign students within the framework of the project "Online tour to the cities of the Upper Volga: Uglich, Myshkin, Yaroslavl, Kostroma, Ples, Nizhny Novgorod" was demonstrated in the course of the seminar.
