The Interuniversity Hackathon on information security, organized by the ICS RTU MIREA together with strategic partners - Kaspersky Lab and Positive Technologies, ended with a spectacular finale.

11 teams took part in the final competition, including those from other universities in Moscow, who had passed the qualifying stage of the hackathon.

The final stage assignments were developed by the project office of ISC RTU MIREA and representatives of strategic partners, leading companies in the field of information security – Kaspersky Lab and Positive Technologies with the involvement of students, which became an interesting experience in developing a system of skills in the field of information security.

Participants in the finals were offered five services containing vulnerabilities in the application code, which the teams had to detect and close within six hours, so that automated scripts simulating attacks could not steal the data from the servers, as well as tasks on smart contracts, cryptocurrencies, on web application vulnerabilities and much more.

In the overall standings of the competition, prizes were distributed as follows:

•         first place is awarded to the team of students from the department KB-4 “Intelligent Information Security Systems” ISC RTU MIREA – “cR4.sh” (Artem Tikhonov, Mikhail Luzgin, Nikita Babkov, Ivan Naydenov)

•         second place went to the team of Moscow Technical University of Communication and Informatics (MTUSI) students – “BinaryBears”

•         third place was taken by a team of students from the Department KB-2 “Information and analytical systems of cybersecurity” ICS RTU MIREA – “D@T@C0RrUpT10#” (Mikhail Kobyak, Yaroslav Prishedko, Leonid Plisov, Yaroslav Konnov, Ivan Krivko)

Upon the results of the student test at our University:

•         first place went to a team of students from the Department KB-4 “Intelligent Information Security Systems” ICS RTU MIREA – “cR4.sh” (Artem Tikhonov, Mikhail Luzgin, Nikita Babkov, Ivan Naydenov)

•         second place was taken by a team of students from the Department KB-2 “Information and analytical systems of cybersecurity” ICS RTU MIREA – “D@T@C0RrUpT10#” (Mikhail Kobyak, Yaroslav Prishedko, Leonid Plisov, Yaroslav Konnov, Ivan Krivko)

•         third place was awarded to a team of students from the Department KB-4 “Intelligent Information Security Systems” of ICS RTU MIREA - “kurilka” (Alexey Morin, Artyom Kartunchikov, Ildar Iskandyarov, Roman Aksyonov, Kirill Sharapov)
