On October 6, RTU MIREA hosted a delegation of the educational institutions leaders of the Sindh province of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, which included Khan Ali Raza, Director of the Public School, and Rais Shahzaib, Executive Director of SPARK Training & Consulting (Pvt) Ltd.
RTU MIREA was represented by Alexander Sergeevich Sigov, President of the University, Irina Sergeevna Solunova, Deputy First Vice-Rector, Irina Yuryevna Burceva, acting Head of the International Relations Department.
Alexander Sergeevich Sigov, President of RTU MIREA, warmly welcomed the visitors from Pakistan and expressed his deep confidence that this meeting will be the beginning of fruitful cooperation.
Khan Ali Raza, Director of Akbar Public School, noted the recent increased interest of Pakistani youth to study in Russia. Rais Shahzaib, Executive Director of SPARK Training & Consulting (Pvt) Ltd, a company whose activities are aimed at providing analytical, legal and information support to people planning their studies abroad, drew attention to the large number of current training programs for advanced, knowledge-intensive areas of science and technology.
As part of the visit, the delegates from Pakistan’s educational institutions had a tour of the Situation Center of the Russian Ministry of Education and Science, laboratories of the Institute of Radio Electronics and Informatics, Institute of Information Technologies, Institute of Artificial Intelligence, as well as the Altair Children's Technology Park. The visitors highly appreciated the presentation of the Cosmocenter, while focusing on the fact that Russian space developments have worldwide recognition.
In the near future, a return visit of the RTU MIREA delegation to the Islamic Republic of Pakistan will take place, following which bilateral agreements on the development of academic mobility and the implementation of joint research projects are expected.
