One of the priority directions of the international activity of the MIREA - Russian Technological University is the development of academic mobility. Academic mobility programs are, first of all, an opportunity for students and postgraduates to study for a semester, a year or even two years in another country without interrupting their studies at the RTU MIREA.

Continuous language practice (training in all countries is conducted in English), invaluable life experience, increasing competitiveness in the labor market, Certificates on studies abroad are just some of the advantages that are mentioned by the graduates of academic mobility programs.

The University is actively developing training programs abroad. Thus, the number of students and graduate students who will study at universities in Europe and Asia in the 2018/2019 academic year has increased twice compared with last year. The list of academic mobility programs is also growing. A new direction is the program with the University of Saitama (Japan), the first students will go there in the fall semester of the current academic year. In addition, MIREA students were given the opportunity to study at the universities of the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Slovenia on scholarship programs that are grants from the host state or foreign universities especially for talented students from Russia.

The existing program of academic exchange with the National University of Chao Tong (Taiwan) and the double degree program with the Polytechnic University of Milan are still working.

Annually our students apply and successfully pass the selection for long-term programs, in particular, the double degree program with the Polytechnic University of Milan. This is an educational program developed and implemented by two partner universities, whose graduates are awarded a Master's degree of two universities: the MIREA - Russian Technological University and the Polytechnic University of Milan - with the issuance of relevant documents on higher education. The students, who have passed the competitive selection in the spring semester, are starting their studies in Milan.
