Together with the Federal Treasury a new specialized department will be created at RTU MIREA

On November 16, a meeting was held at the Federal Treasury to discuss the issue of signing an agreement on the creation of a State financial technologies department.The event was attended by Roman Artyukhin, Head of the Russian Treasury, Stanislav Kudzh, Rector of RTU MIREA, Alexander Albychev, Deputy Head of the Russian Treasury, Anatoly Bakaev, Director of the Institute of Cybersecurity and Digital Technologies of RTU MIREA, and other employees of the Russian Treasury and RTU MIREA.

Alexander Albychev, using the example of the Management State Automated System, demonstrated the scale of the Big data which the Treasury of Russia uses in its work. On the basis of the Management State Automated System, students will have an opportunity to get practical skills in operating Big data.

Stanislav Kudzh, Rector of RTU MIREA, noted: “The creation of a new structural unit at RTU MIREA will allow us to further develop the applied training of our students, orient them towards a specific specialization currently in demand, and finally, to fulfill the most important task set by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation – train personnel for the digital economy of the country”.

Alexander Albychev, Deputy Head of the Federal Treasury, was delegated to the post of head of the State financial technologies department. The department  will be part of the Institute of Cybersecurity and Digital Technologies and is created on the basis of two other departments: the Department of Informatics and the Department of Information Security. Specialists of the Federal Treasury will be directly involved in the development of the educational and research potential of the department.

As practice shows, specialists with the skills in the development of information technologies who are capable to use artificial intelligence and ensure the protection of information are in demand in all spheres of the economy, including the structures of the Federal Treasury.

The work of the department will be based on the unique training system “university- based department – partner enterprise” developed and implemented at RTU MIREA, which ensures high efficiency of the educational process, relevance of training materials and quick adaptation of graduates to the requirements of employers. This system combines the fundamental, theoretical and industrial training of students in accordance with their specialization and involves rapid adaptation of graduates to the conditions of work at the enterprise.

The creation of a new specialized department will allow to concentrate resources and ensure the contribution of RTU MIREA and the Russian Treasury to the achievement of the national development goals of the Russian Federation.
