University students receive grants to study abroad

The students of the MIREA - Russian Technological University received grants to study abroad on academic mobility programs in the 2018/2019 academic year.

Many students who dream of studying abroad are stopped by the high cost of studying and living. To support the students in their desire to study abroad, the MIREA - Russian Technological University allocated 3 grants in the amount of 450 000 rubles each.

The selection of candidates for the grants was carried out by the contest commission on the basis of academic achievements of the applicants: the students of the Physics and Technology Institute, the M.V. Lomonosov Institute of Fine Chemical Technologies, the Information Technologies Institute, and the Innovative Technologies and Public Administration Institute, participating in the academic exchange programs and the double diploma programs with the Polytechnic University of Milan.

To participate in the competition, the students were required to provide information on academic performance, motivation letter, recommendation letters from leading scientists and university professors, documents confirming knowledge of a foreign language, academic achievements. Active information support of the participants and organization of the competition was carried out by the International Relations Office of the RTU MIREA.

Training on the academic exchange programs and double diploma programs with the Polytechnic University of Milan is completely free of charge for students of the RTU MIREA, so the allocated grants will cover the expenses on buying air tickets, paying for accommodation, purchasing teaching materials, etc. Thus, the grant will be a significant financial support and help the students focus on their studies and research activities.
